As we enter 2016 we can see that the main candidate shortages will fall in IT sales. With sales professionals coming
from IT backgrounds in short supply, it’s envisaged that this will continue to be a very competitive market. Employers are investing in their sales departments in a bid to attract the best talent to promote their products and services. As such, there has been an increase in basic salaries across most sectors for sales roles. Experienced sales professionals expect excellent bonus or commission structures so the emphasis will need to be on ensuring that the overall packages are attractive including elements such as car, pension, healthcare and other benefits.
