In partnership with its client, CPL is currently seeking a Quality Technician to work with a busy engineering / manufacturing company in the Coleraine area.

 

In partnership with its client, CPL is currently seeking a Quality Technician to work with a busy engineering / manufacturing company in the Coleraine area.

Reporting to the Quality Co-ordinator and liaising closely with the production team, the Quality Technician will play a key role in maintaining the internal quality management system, ensuring that the highest standards of Quality are maintained throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for compliance to all customers, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out Final Inspection of parts using statistical sampling methods and write up inspection reports
  • Initiate and close out NCR's using applicable quality tools and techniques.
  • Perform 6’S Audits and Internal Audits in compliance with ISO9001 and detail findings
  • Ensure that all Visual Management displays are kept up to date.
  • Perform Receiving Inspection activities in relation to Incoming Material (when required).
  • Perform Risk Assessments and any other Health and Safety activities as required
  • Maintain Document Control system and ensure records are kept up to date.
  • Liaise with customers by providing feedback, corrective action reports, the status of replacement parts and provide any technical support when required
  • Contribute in the continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify areas for improvement within the Quality function

 

Essential:

  • 1-2 years experience of working within a manufacturing quality role
  • Previous experience performing Internal Compliance Audits within an ISO 9001 , ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 framework environment
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Desirable:

  • Ability to liaise in a professional manner with customers/suppliers
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexible in approach to work and have an ability to carry out, where necessary, other tasks
  • Clean driving licence
