Everything we do here at Praxis Care centres around making a difference to the lives of people living with learning disabilities, mental ill health, acquired brain injury or dementia and to do this, we have a team of exceptional care and support workers. We are the largest care providing charity in Northern Ireland and, with large operations across Republic of Ireland, England and Isle of Man, employ over 1,400 staff.
Praxis Care provides a range of supported living services to people experiencing mental ill health. We also provide home response domiciliary care, and a day activity/ drop-in and ‘out of hours’ service that offers individuals with mental ill health and related complex needs help in the planning and management of their own social routines. A volunteer befriending scheme helps to reduce isolation and improves the well being of people with mental health difficulties.
Praxis Care assists adults and children with a learning disability or acquired brain injury to live in appropriate community settings, through offering a holistic range of care and diversional activity. We specialise in services for adults and children who have complex needs, including challenging behaviours, which could not normally be met outside a hospital or institutional setting. These services include a range of residential and supported living schemes and the provision of work and training opportunities.
We operate our care services across the above 4 jurisdictions and these are supported from our central office in Belfast. You can learn more about Praxis Care, and find details of career opportunities across all jurisdictions, on our website: www.praxisprovides.com
Working with Praxis Care can be deeply rewarding, satisfying and challenging. We support career development and progression and offer a variety of benefits including comprehensive company induction, competitive rates of pay, a group personal pension scheme, occupational sick pay and the opportunity for overtime (depending on role).
