Description

Reporting to the Programme Management (PMO) Lead you will be required to assist in the successful delivery of projects. Join part of a busy PMO team within a rapidly growing organisation, operating within an exciting industry. The PMO Portfolio Scheduler is an integral member of the team.

 

Key Tasks:

  • Provide project scheduling support for portfolio of projects for all phases of the project from contract award to delivery of seats in line with contractual requirements.
  • Work with the project managers to create new work breakdown structures (WBS). 
  • Report to senior managers on delivery, including progress against milestones and deliverables, late milestones and risk/issues/scope change impacts to schedule for resource management. 
  • Develop, update, and report on PMO portfolio master schedule and manage interface points between projects. 
  • Liaise with multiple departments across the company and external suppliers to ensure all interface points between projects are recorded.
  • Perform critical path monitoring and analysis. 
  • Portfolio level schedule risk are identified and managed through effective mitigation measures.
  • Participate in external visits and audits.
  • Attend and where appropriate lead meetings.
  • Preparation of project dashboards.
  • Support the development of key programme and project procedures.
  • Supporting the project management team with ad hoc requirements.
  • Develop detailed baseline schedules. 
  • Support multiple PMs by maintaining and updating PMO project schedules

Required Skills:

We are looking for a motivated person who is an excellent communicator and who has strong focus on detail. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Degree educated in Engineering, Science, Business or equivalent.
  • A minimum 5 years as an assistant manager or similar in an Engineering, Manufacturing or complex business environment
  • A good strong understanding of process and the ability to deal with multiple tasks and progress these to successful conclusions
  • Excellent computer skills- Microsoft project or similar would be desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrable experience of using these skills successfully in a commercial environment
  • Ability to maintain relationships
  • Strong organisational skills
