Mechanical Engineer for Global Consultancy based in Belfast £30K- 40K

Your new company
Worldwide, multi disciplinary employing over 4,000 staff in a vast range of professional and technical roles across an unrivalled array of services. Currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join their Belfast office delivering infrastructure projects including Utilities, Water/ Waste Water and Building services work.

Your new role
You will be working in a multi disciplined team reporting to a project manager on water and waste water infrastructure projects. You will represent the client from planning, design and procurement, through to construction and commissioning. You will prepare feasibility studies, option appraisals, cost plans and business cases. You will be responsible for mechanical design, specification and tender preparation as well as regular liaison with operational and maintenance staff. You will attend progress meetings and work to meet H&S requirements and overall project objectives.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer ideally chartered or approaching Chartered status and have over 5 years post graduate experience. You will have an understanding of Mechanical design within the Water industry and an understanding of pumping systems and pump selection. You will be able to carry out mechanical design and hydraulic calculations as well as P&ID's, specifications, general outline and detailed system designs. You will be proficient in MS office and have a full clean drivers licence.

It would be desirable for you to have Telemetry and SCADA data acquisitions systems experience, pump control using PID control of VSD's, HV pumping, power generation and CHP.
Previous Building services experience would also be beneficial along with NEC3 project Management experience. BIM/ Revit software an advantage as well as Mapinfo/GIS
