Your new company

PART TIME - 21 hours per week (Wednesday 4.2 hours in the afternoon inc.30mins paid lunch, Thursdays and Fridays 8.4 hours per day inc. 1 hour paid lunch).
RATE OF PAY - £13.37 per hour.
INTERVIEWS - week commencing 18th December 2017, with a view to the successful candidate starting on Wednesday 3rd January 2018.

Your new role
Assist the HR Manager in handling day to day employee relations issues such as grievance, discipline and other performance related matters.
Advise and direct other managers on HR matters.
Assist the HR Manager in the implementation of effective procedures for managing and accessing employee performance.
Assist HR Manager in preparation of policies and procedures relating to equality of opportunity.
Assist the HR Manager in the area of staff development.
Provide support and advice to staff on employment related issues.
Update and maintain HR system/database.Manage salaries and wages administration.
Responsible for day to day HR administration such as sickness and absence recording, maternity and paternity leave, holiday records etc.
Assist the HR Manager in developing standard documentation for all employees of the body in regard to their employment and development.Manage the provision of general office administration services for SEUPB e.g. Arrangement of office supplies and equipment etc.
To provide advice, reports and statistical analysis as required by the HR Manager.
Recruitment and Selection
Work with the HR Manager to maintain recruitment policies and procedures in line with best practice.
Draft HR policies and procedures as required.
Responsible for ensuring that all relevant legislation and requirements from the Equality Commission are met through all processes.
Handle all administration around recruitment campaigns including advertising, updating the electronic recruitment system, acting as Monitoring Officer and sifting applications against criteria.
Undertake interview duties

What you'll need to succeed
5 GCSEs grades A - C (including English Language)
or equivalent
or Leaving Certificate (Standard/Ordinary level)
A minimum of 2 years' experience gained in a similar role in a Human Resources/Personnel function within the public, private, voluntary or community sectors
Experience in the administration of a HR/Personnel function.
Experience in administering effective recruitment processes.
Thorough knowledge of relevant employment legislation, and experience in managing HR databases and management information systems

A third level qualification.
Full CIPD membership or working towards full membership.
Experience of liaising with external service providers on a range of HR issues.
Experience of working autonomously.
