Back in 2011 we started with a blank piece of paper and had the idea of launching an exciting new business focused on the rapidly growing Global wind farm market. These wind farms will be operating for up to, and perhaps beyond, 25 years. This provides a substantial and sustainable market opportunity, specifically in providing the parts and services necessary to keep these turbines running.
In 2014, three years after we launched the business, we broke through the £1m turnover milestone and we have been blessed to see that continue to grow year-on-year. There are several key success factors in this journey. One of them is the significant investment we have made in researching and identifying the parts that are likely to fail across the wide range of turbine types. Today we have a knowledge base of over 14,000 spare parts and have supplier agreements in place with over 700 of the original equipment manufacturers.
Another key success factor is our passion for adding value to our clients and for treating them the way that we would want to be treated. In fact, this is one of our core company principles. We have successfully delivered parts and services from as far away as America to New Zealand and across Europe in between. Our core market is in the UK which is the third largest market in Europe.
