Post: Finance Manager 

Department: Finance 

Reports to: Managing Director 

Responsible for: Finance Department

Working hours:  40 hours per week. Overtime will be expected to meet the business needs from time to time. 


To be solely responsible for the financial department of the business, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, auditing, general accounting and cash management. 


  • Produce year end Accounts and liaise with External Accountant to ensure filing of Statutory Accounts and Statements 
  • Liaise with Auditors 
  • Manage financial month end across the business 
  • Manage Accounts Payable functions 
  • Manage Accounts Receivable function 
  • Manage efficient credit control processes of the business including monthly aged debt analysis 
  • Manage Cash Flow of the business including accurate Cash Flow forecasting 
  • Prepare and Submit VAT Returns and Intrastat and other as required 
  • Produce Monthly Management Accounts 
  • Produce regular reports for analysis at Management meetings 
  • •Prepare and analysis profit margins of the business. 
  • Strategic analysis of the company to enhance profitability 
  • Participation of Management of the company with Management Team 
  • Manage and prepare financial reports to drive KPI’s and growth of the company 
  • General finance administrative duties as required 
  • Introduce policies and procedure to ensure the company adheres to its financial obligations 
  • Advise Managing Director of the procedures the company is bound to meet due to financial regulations 
  • Completion of Government Forms 
  • Analyse profit margin on products for price changes 
  • Assist HR in the payroll function 
  • Provide business partnering support to the commercial and operational teams also to manage the external relationships 
  • Carry out internal audit checks on departments on a regular basis to ensure compliance with accounting objectives 
  • Manage and supervise staff in the accounts department and ensure appropriate training & supervision of staff

  • Conduct all activities with confidentiality and in accordance with the requirements of Data Protection Legislation. 
  • Undertake any other duties as required, that are within the competence of the post holder and conducive to the effective delivery of the role. 
  • Undertake and attend any training deemed necessary under the above general conditions.
