Data Protection Lawyer

Our client is looking for a strong commercial lawyer with a good data protection knowledge to join their in-house legal team and to assist with the roll out of their large scale GDPR project. This is a permanent position to manage the firms overall data protection strategy as well as delivering on the initial GDPR project.

This is an opportunity to work for a leading global law firm and to work with a leading expert in data protection. They will also have a broader in-house role advising the global business on any other areas of risk and compliance.

The Candidate

The successful applicant will ideally meet the following criteria

-          Qualified Solicitor – Flexible on level of PQE

-          Previous experience as an in-house lawyer

-          Previous data protection experience and a passion for data protection

-          Strong commercial experience and experience of advising the business on any regulatory changes and potential risk

-          Good presentation and communication skills

-          Ability to liaise with internal stakeholders at all levels throughout a business and getting their buy-in for projects
