We believe wellbeing powers business. Over the last 40 years, we've worked with organisations from both public and private sectors, to advise on, deliver and manage outsourced organisational health and wellbeing.
We've added scale and expertise to our operation through a number of recent acquisitions, starting with leading employee assistance programme and absence management provider FirstAssist Services Limited in 2010, and more recently, Aviva's occupational health business in February 2012.
We now offer the most complete line-up of wellbeing services in the market, ranging from absence management and employee assistance programmes to health screening and surveillance and an Aberdeen operation dedicated to health and wellbeing expertise in the oil and gas industry..
Services for Insurers
In May 2012, we acquired Medicals Direct Group (MDG). Operating primarily in the life, income protection, disability and critical illness sectors in the UK and Ireland, MDG has been working with the insurance sector since 1994 to increase efficiency, cut costs and improve turnaround times, through its medical evidence gathering and risk management services.
The acquisition adds further depth to Capita's offerings in the insurance market. A FTSE 100 business and one of the world's largest providers of outsourced life and pensions services, Capita administers 21 million individual life and pension policies, employing 10,000 dedicated employees in this area of the business alone, to do what it does best - fast, efficient processing.
In 2010, we acquired FirstAssist Services, a pioneer of professional and quality accredited advice and support services, including 24 hour telephone helpline services and online business support packages for SMEs.
