Administrative Assistant, Part Time, 32 Hours Per Week (Temporary-Maternity Cover) Ballymena & Crumlin

 

Everything we do here at Praxis Care centres around making a difference to the lives of people living with learning disabilities, mental ill health, acquired brain injury or dementia and to do this, we have a team of exceptional care and support workers.  We are the largest care providing charity in Northern Ireland and also have large operations across Republic of Ireland, England and Isle of Man, employing over 1400 staff.

 

We currently have the following vacancy within the Supported Living Services:

 

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

PART TIME - 32 HOURS PER WEEK (TEMPORARY-MATERNITY COVER)

 BALLYMENA & CRUMLIN 

£8.20 per hour /£15,990 per annum pro rata  

This is an exciting opportunity for you to build your experience within a rapid growing organisation.  You will be based at Rainbow Lodge Residential Care Home for 24 hours per week and 8 hours per week at Crumlin.  This maternity cover will be for a period of approximately 6 months.  You will be responsible for providing secretarial/administrative support within the department. Responsibilities will include scheduling of essential calendar activities, arranging meetings, interviews and reviews, as required.  To maintain and update filing systems, type and use a computer effectively in the administration of the general office, provide secretarial/clerical support, including photocopying and preparation of documents for care staff, carry out receptionist duties, where appropriate, record all incoming and outgoing mail and distribute appropriately, maintain registration and inspection unit books and files – if appropriate.  You must be able to work competently with figures and statistics in order to complete end of month accounts. You will be responsible for finances ie petty cash, clients benefits etc, as appropriate. To have a sound knowledge of all the policies, standards and specifications of the projects.  You will also be responsible for taking minutes at regular staff meetings and reviews.

 To be considered for this role you must meet the essential criteria listed below:

  • OCR/RSA Stage II Word-processing or Typing or equivalent qualification

  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel and good typing skills - to be tested at interview

  • Current driving licence and access to own transport.
