This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting, dynamic and fast moving organisation in the Greater Belfast area. This role covers all areas of the accounts function and will ensure a varied and challenging work experience and the opportunity to develop new skills.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Accounts Payable including:
    • Posting large volumes of purchase invoices for a number of group companies in both GBP-EURO-DOLLAR
    • Experience of coding a wide range of supplier invoices and being able to identify the various dept codes/P&L code the invoice relates to
    • Reconciling of supplier statements ensuring that any differences or errors discovered are followed up and resolved in a timely manner
    • Processing of daily payments & month end bacs routine
    • Liaising with suppliers, dealing with supplier queries
    • Full responsibility for completing period-end process at every month-end and ensuring ledger agrees to nominal ledger
    • Posting of General Journals when required
  • Accounts Receivable including:
    • Posting of Cash receipts for a number of group companies
    • Raising and posting of manual sales invoices
    • Liaising with customers and dealing with customer queries
    • Full responsibility for completing period-end process at every month-end and ensuring ledger agrees to nominal ledger
    • Posting of General Journals when required
  • Other duties:
    • Petty cash reconciliations
    • Bank reconciliations for multi currency bank accounts
    • Taking ownership of various cash books and reconciled at month end
    • Liaising with other staff members in our offices in Northern Ireland and throughout the Republic of Ireland
    • Preparation of reports for month-end reporting and other ad hoc reports on Microsoft Excel
    • General admin support as required

Requirements:

  • Current proven experience of having ownership of purchase ledger & sales ledger.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages particularly excel
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Works well on own initiative and as part of a team


This is a permanent Part Time role of around 20 hours per week. Whilst these hours will be fixed, there is a degree of flexibility in the agreed working pattern. Contracted days & hours of work will be agreed with the successful applicant and then fixed, in line with the company needs.
