Accounts Assistant required on a temporary basis for Greater Belfast based office. £18-22k

 

Accounts Assistant

VANRATH are pleased to be recruiting for a highly successful organisation based in Greater Belfast for an Accounts Assistant on a temporary basis. The Accounts Assistant will be required to assist a busy finance team with the potential for permanency.

Responsibilities:

Duties include:

  • Manage the purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger to trial balance.
  • Carry out month end procedures
  • Maintain the cheque journal
  • Carry out bank reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts
  • Maintain petty cash records
  • Perform profit and loss analysis on a monthly basis
  • Reconcile the creditors control account
  • Ensure timely payment of suppliers
  • To provide cover for daily lodgements.
  • Any other duties as required

The Ideal Person:

  • Experience within a similar role within a busy finance team is required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

Remuneration:

£18,000-£22,000
