Queen’s to host Postgraduate Open Day

Queen’s University Belfast is offering graduates the chance to ‘be informed and be inspired’ with one of its multitude of postgraduate degrees.

From food safety to computer science, a suite of post-graduate degrees will be on offer at the University’s Postgraduate Open Day on Monday 1 December 2014.

The Open Day entitled ‘Be Informed Be Inspired’ runs from 1pm to 8pm in the Whitla Hall and visitors can drop in to meet staff and students, learn about the range of courses available and get an insight into what life as a postgraduate student is really like.  Career consultants will also be on hand to offer advance on how to connect study to future career prospects.

Tours of Queen’s dedicated postgraduate accommodation – Willow Walk, the International and Postgraduate Student Centre, Queen’s world-class sports facilities and the award-winning McClay Library will also be on offer.

Talks on the day, to be held in the Great Hall and a number of lecture theatres, include advice on applying for funding, student finance, courses, careers and life from a PG student’s perspective.
