Our client is an exciting new addition to the Belfast IT market, opening a large-scale support centre of excellence for its global operation over the last year. The Group has recruited consistently over the last 12 months across a range of IT disciplines and is now in the process of ramping up for its 2012 intake. There is currently a requirement for a number of SQL DBA / Applications Analysts to join this thriving team.

The Role

These positions are based within the Global Service Delivery Team which looks after a comprehensive range of support and analysis services for global applications and works under tight ITIL disciplines of incident, change, problem, release and capacity management.

The roles have a broad range of responsibility but the core aspects involve the following:

•        Providing comprehensive support and analysis on a range of in-house applications
•        Management of SQL platforms across the various tiers of service
•        Diagnose and resolve complex data access issues, data unloading / reloading
•        Being recognized as subject matter experts in the technologies supported by the team
•        Perform functions of the role within a tight ITIL framework

The Person

We are keen to hear from career-focused applicants from the following backgrounds:

•        Strong range of organisation and analysis skills
•        Firm grasp of SQL (analysis, queries, stored procedures)
•        Experience of maintaining, supporting or reporting on large-scale applications
•        Sound knowledge of the operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and services within a    Microsoft technology environment
•        Minimum of 2 years IT experience in a SQL analysis / DBA or 3^rd line application support role
•        Experience of working in an ITIL environment
