Client Summary:
Our client is a young, forward thinking and progressive main contractor within the fit out and construction industry currently working out of their headquarters in Lisburn and supplying construction and fit out services to Northern Ireland and the ROI. This particular organisation specialise in the fit out and refurb of premium, high end cinemas, shopping malls, retail units and high end luxury homes. The company also work within the building and maintenance sector and have work based through N.Ireland.

There is now a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial responsibility from pre-construction stage through to finalising accounts of fit out and construction projects throughout NI and ROI.

Reporting to:
This is a vital role within the organisation and the Quantity Surveyor will report directly into the managing director and will have a significant input into the company's strategic vision.

This is a unique where role there will be no micromanagement involved in the position and the successful candidate will be fully in charge of their own diary and activities. Therefore, there will travel to sites throughout ROI however this will only involve visits and site meetings and should be able to go from home to site within 1 day.

Job Duties:


      * This is the ideal role for a talented and detail-oriented quantity surveyor seeking to take their next step with a growing organisation that actively encourages and facilitates personal growth and professional development.


      * Working on the procurement, measurement and finalisation of sub-contracts, you will produce valuations and final accounts for individual projects


      * Completion and Reconciliation of Monthly Cost Reports & Forecasts


      * Internal Monthly Reviews


      * Completion, Submission and Agreement of Monthly Valuations with the Client / PQS


      * Full Subcontract Procurement throughout the contract


      * Measurement, Agreement and Payment of Subcontract Monthly Accounts


      * Measurement, Agreement and Submission of Variation Accounts to the Client / PQS


      * Regular Meetings with the Clients Team and Sub Contractors


    * Measurement and Agreement of Sub-Contract of Subcontract Monthly Accounts

Essential Criteria


      * At least 2/3 year's post graduate quantity surveying experience


      * Experience of the procurement, measurement and finalisation of sub-contracts


      * A proven track record of dealing with external customer representatives


      * Experience of producing valuations and final accounts


      * Experience of confirming, agreeing and pricing variations


      * A full, valid driving license and access to your own vehicle


      * An honours degree in quantity surveying


    * A good level of IT literacy, especially with MS Excel and Word

Salary Range: £30-£35K + Benefits (DOE)
