The Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) is the body which delivers government services on behalf of the Northern Ireland Executive to the people of Northern Ireland. We are one of the largest employers in Northern Ireland employing more than 25,000 staff across a wide range of employment disciplines.

We play a crucial role in support of Department Ministers and in the delivery of a wide range of public services. The Northern Ireland Office (NIO) exists to support the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland in taking forward Government policy in Northern Ireland.
