Brightwater are recruiting for an experienced financial advisor to join our Belfast based client’s growing team. This company focuses on long-term financial planning and are keen to recruit like-minded individuals who can provide first class advice on the full range of protection, investment and pension products. To succeed in this company you will be a results-driven but technically strong individual who can service a large existing client portfolio at the same time as maximising referrals / business opportunities through established professional introducers.

Role Overview

• Follow up on customer enquiries, seeking to identify and understand customer needs, matching them to suitable products and services or adapting products and services to suit their needs.
• Identify possible solutions through analysing complex problems and breaking them into component parts using a range of tools and techniques. Interpret complex data, assess effectiveness of possible solutions and make appropriate recommendations.
• Meet with clients to gather information using active listening techniques and probing questions to obtain full financial overview.
• Achieve and exceed required targets and standards, consistently improving on personal performance by setting own challenging objectives.
• Comply with company / industry rules and regulations checking your own work for completion and accuracy. Make suggestions and take action to improve processes.

Criteria

• Experienced financial advisor with a comprehensive knowledge of investment, protection and ideally pension products, and their use within a personal or business context.
• Experience of working within an IFA or Banassurance environment with evidenced sales activities to generate success.
• AFPC qualified or equivalent. Candidates with substantial progression towards this will also be considered.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey product features / benefits. Able to present at seminars or in a larger forum.
• Although an existing database of clients is available to you, candidates should have demonstrable experience of developing leads / referrals from clients and introducers.

Basic salary will depend on candidate’s basic salary + bonus achievable on sales.
