Excellent opportunity for an experienced EH&S Officer within a world class manufacturing facility.

Key Purpose:

Responsible for the continuous improvement and ongoing management of the Environment, Health & Safety and Business Continuity Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain & continually improve EHS strategic initiatives in support of corporate and business group vision
  • Maintain and continually improve EHS management systems in line with ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000, ISO 50000 and ISO 22301
  • Drive EHS culture and results
  • Provide training and information on Health, Safety, Environmental and Business Continuity Management and current legislation
  • Support and guide partnerships  to integrate EHS values,  behaviours and practices across the business
  • Develop & maintain site EHS monitoring in line with site requirements, legislation and best practice
  • Developing and maintaining EHS programs to ensure legal compliance
  • Investigate all accidents, incidents, near misses and provide advice on corrective action/s.
  • Be the focus for external contacts on EHS matters
  • Monitor, measure and complete trend analysis on key EHS metrics and support the development of corrective action plans for continual improvement of the sites EHS performance
  • Development of EHS policies and processes

The Person:

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • A 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Environmental, Health & Safety qualification eg NEBOSH      
  • Experience of implementing and managing an Environmental, Energy and Health & Safety Management System, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Enthusiasm and be self-motivated to achieve results
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills, with the ability to influence colleagues at all levels throughout the business
