DESIGN & MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Our Client is a leader in its field and due to the recent award of a number of contracts is currently seeking to expand the R&D and Engineering functions within the organisation. We would now welcome applications from a suitably qualified Design Engineer with experience of manufacturing projects.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the design of Component parts for the Manufacturing, Assembly, Production and R&D Environments and take responsibility for the delivery of these designs through production.

EXPERIENCE

• You will be innovative in your approach using a range of software packages such as CATIA V5, Solid Works, Unigraphics.
• Design control of Engineering Changes and new Design releases.
• You will have experience of coordinating with Production on the introduction of new products with a focus on exacting customer deadlines.
• You will have an awareness of the development and improvement of Production and Assembly processes and procedures.
• You will be used to Optimising designs to meet overall programme deliverables including cost, time, quality and performance.
• Work within a total quality environment with recognition to customer requirements and exacting deadlines.

THE PERSON

Ideally from an Engineering, Automotive, Aerospace production environment. You will have:

• A Qualification in Engineering / Manufacturing or Design Engineering or be a Technical Apprentice trained in Design.
• You must have at least 2 years relevant design experience.
• You will have relevant design experience including use of systems such as CATIA V5 or Solid Works or Unigraphics or equivalent.

SALARY

Your package will be related to your experience but a strong market salary should be expected for the right candidates.
