Customer Service Representative required for Belfast based supply chain company

 

Reports to: Operations Manager

1st Shift, 08:00 to 17:00 M-F, Overtime and Weekends as required

 

Summary of Functions:

Review, process, and expedite orders for items when contacted by telephone, fax, email, or IT

systems from the customer. Follow up, provide status, and resolve issues as required.

 

Essential Functions:

• Apply company policies, procedures and documents

• Access and Review various synopsis reports and investigate issues to resolution

• Review calibration recall notices and create outbound orders as required

• Review any late or failed deliveries and investigate to find and enter the appropriate reason into internal system

• Responsible for the timely processing of emergent orders to the warehouse floor for expedited deliveries to the client site

• Respond to emergent requests for information and order status from the customer

• Coordinate with shipping, warehouse, and order prep staff to expedite or trace missing or

delayed orders

• Confer with shipping and freight carriers to trace and expedite missing or late shipments

• Receive and verify customer complaints; attempt to resolve issues though collaboration with

customer, plant management, and freight carriers

• Compile statistics and prepare various reports for management

• May assist with other functions within the warehouse

 

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Experience working for a third party logistics company

  • • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions,

software manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • • Must be an independent worker with strong attention to detail and excellent computer skills.
  • • Must be familiar with current software packages such as MS Word and Excel,

warehouse/inventory and order systems.

  • • 4 GCSE’s Grade A-C or Equivalent, and 12 months related experience and/or training, or

equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • • Able to work overtime and on weekends as required

Salary - £7.90 per hour + holiday pay
