Customer Project Engineer VANRATH is working in partnership with a global manufacturing firm for a Customer Product Engineer position. Based in Antrim, the position of Customer Product Engineer will work with internal and external stakeholders reporting to the Product Engineering Director. This role will give you full responsibility for customer quality and ensuring relationships are solid and long-term. You will work alongside Sales & Marketing teams to ensure technical and engineering areas are covered to give a full understanding to customers. Main Responsibilities As Customer Product Engineer, you will focus on continuous improvement, working with R&D teams to improve on existing products and feedback from customer preferences. You will know how to prioritise, making sure you lead and motivate cross functional teams to report on existing, new and upgraded products. In addition, this role will also give you the scope to introduce six sigma / lean skills to improve upon product quality for the future. Ideal Candidate In order to proceed with this opportunity you will have a strong academic track record in an electronics or electrical engineering discipline, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a large scale manufacturing environment or FMCG business. You will be fully conversant with Lean Manufacturing techniques and have the experience to implement these techniques successfully. Furthermore, it would prove advantageous if you have successfully managed cross functional teams in your current role and are able to create a team approach to solving engineering and manufacturing challenges.
