The Company started manufacturing at the Belfast site in 1955. Previously known as Mission Manufacturing and TWR Mission, we became Stockham Valve Ltd. In 1988. Towards the end of 1998 we became part of Crane Co., as Crane Stockham Valve Limited, strengthening our financial position and resources for further research and development to offer a comprehensive valve range.

Over a period of 40 years, the Duo-Chek valve has undergone three major re-designs. The current Duo-Chek II product incorporates two previously patented features. Our Duo-Chek valve is the innovator of the Dual Plate Wafer Check Valve.

After successful completion of a two year design and test programme, the NozChek was introduced in 1990 and has since been approved and supplied world wide to major oil and gas, water, chemical and power generation companies.

As an extension of the dynamic response concept, and an intensive design and test programme, using resources at Queen’s University, Belfast, in 1999 we introduced the Compac Noz to API 594 dimensions, which offers weight and space savings.

Design, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance are all located in house at the Belfast facility. All raw material suppliers are audited and approved by the Crane Stockham Valve QA Manager, and have a minimum ISO 9002 approval.
