Your new company
Hays have once again been successfully retained by a well-established and market leading NI based Contractor in their search for a Civil Engineer to join their on-site team. This requirement has arisen due to consistent growth with the recent addition of major projects across wind-farms, high-ways, bridges and roads with values ranging up to £100m+. The company has a very high level of staff retention which is reflective of their progressive team culture and emphasis on a positive workin environment. The personalities of their board Directors signal a collaborative and open attitude to best practise which is evident throughout the organisation.

Your new role
Due to the demands of the role you will need to be a technically minded individual who is fully conversant with total stations. You will have a consistent background in setting out and supervising subcontractors whilst on site. You will have excellent communication skills and will have a proven track record of maintaining positive working relationships with all professionals on site. Due to the nature of projects undertaken applicants with previous experience in highways, airports or bridges will be looked upon favourably. However please note applicantions from those with impressive experience in other areas within Civil Engineering will be considered.

What you'll need to succeed
Our client are anticipating applications from degree qualified Civil Engineers with a minimum of two years post graduate experience, however applicants with a different educational path should not be deterred from applying. You will be an ambitious individual with a real interest in developing your career with a contractor who invest heavily in their employee's career development and training. A clean driving licence is preferred and applicants should note that due to project location some travel between the UK&I will be a requirement of the role.
