Description

As a Bid Officer, you'll be a member of the regional sales team and responsible for supporting the Commercial Manager with the preparation, compilation and submission of tenders for residual waste treatment projects (RWTP).

 

As a Bid Officer Belfast, you'll be a member of the regional sales team  and responsible for supporting the Commercial Manager with the preparation, compilation and submission of tenders  for residual waste treatment projects (RWTP). The  role, based in Belfast,  blends a significant legal aspect with technical bid management, commercial awareness and elements of project management.  

Who will I be working for?

Celebrating over 30 years in business in Ireland, Indaver is an established European waste management company, operating in 6 European countries.  Our core business is designing and operating specialised waste treatment facilities such as the Meath  Energy from Waste (EfW) plant located in Duleek, Co. Meath. 
From our Belfast office we aim to expand our EFW capacity in Northern Ireland and Great Britain through the on-going tendering for large scale, waste treatment infrastructural contracts with local authorities. 

What will you be required to do?

  • You will assist in the project management of infrastructural projects
  • You will assist with the preparation of documentation for the procurement process for projects run through the Belfast office
  • You will prepare and review detailed, complex legal and commercial documents
  • You will project manage bids, coordinating the work streams across the wider project team to ensure consistency and that deadlines are met  
  • You will support the Commercial Manager in running the Indaver NI office and its' commercial business interests

What background do I need?

  • 5 years industry experience in a related role
  • Will suit someone with experience of legal and commercial aspects of a complex bid process
  • Law degree an advantage
  • Qualified/part qualified solicitor desirable
  • Experience in utility, infrastructure or engineering project development desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communications both written and verbal.
  • Time management skills essential for the role
