Belfast Harbour is one of the principal maritime gateways on the island of Ireland, linking importers and exporters with Great Britain, Europe and onward to worldwide markets. Belfast Harbour is also Northern Ireland’s leading logistics and distribution hub and is the location of many well-known local businesses such as the George Best City Airport, Harland & Wolff, Bombardier, the NI Science Park and the Titanic Quarter development.

The 400 year-old history of Belfast’s Port is inextricably linked with the development and progress of the City of Belfast. Belfast Harbour is helping to drive forward Northern Ireland’s new knowledge economy through supporting initiatives to attract foreign direct investment to the City and facilitating the development of infrastructure for the new economy.
