Autism Initiatives is the largest voluntary sector provider of direct support services to children and adults with Autism in Northern Ireland. It is part of a UK based organisation that was founded in 1971.Over 210 clients receive services from about 240 staff. Services include outreach and residential support, social activities and day care.

Autism Initiatives believes it is the right of everyone with autism to live a satisfying and happy life in the community in a supportive and stimulating environment.    

Autism Initiatives provides services to people with autism and Asperger’s syndrome, learning disabilities and mental health problems. Carers also benefit from the services we provide. Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects the way a person communicates and relates to people around them. People with autism have difficulties with everyday social interaction. For some people with Autism the world can be a confusing and frightening place.
