Accounts Assistant

Action Renewables is widely regarded as the leading authority on renewables in Northern Ireland. We support commercial renewable energy development, develop and support European Projects, trade Renewable Energy Certificates, and offer quality assurance to the renewable energy industry.

Action Renewables is seeking applications for an experienced Accounts Assistant to work on a part-time basis (3 days per week).  Flexibility can be shown on the exact days /hours of work depending on the needs of the successful candidate.  The post has a salary range of £21,210 to £26,985 pro rata and 25 days annual leave (pro rata).    

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the Sage Line 50 accounts package for the company.
  • Improving finance processes and in particular extending the use of Sage.
  • Timely and accurate input of transactions.
  • Bank and control account reconciliations.
  • Assist with quarterly and year end accounts.
  • Ad hoc accounting matters.

Qualifications and Experience required. 

  • Educated to at least A Level or equivalent, with preference given to those qualified or working towards IATI /AAT qualification or similar.
  • Highly proficient in using Sage Line 50 Accounts software.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a bookkeeping/ accounting role.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel.

  • Methodical and well organised
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
